USA & Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America
have a longstanding trade relationship dating back to
1930's.
The Saudi-U.S. Relationship is stronger than ever and which
translates to U.S. goods and services trade with Saudi
Arabia totaled $81 billion in 2012 (latest data available).
Exports totaled $25 billion; Imports totaled $56 billion.
The U.S. goods and services trade deficit with Saudi Arabia
was $31 billion in 2012.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is one of the America's closest
allies and trade partner in the Middle East/North Africa
(MENA) region. The trade relationship is driven by mutually
beneficial interests that facilitates and enables free
market access. The MENA countries, together, would rank 4th
as an export market for the United States in 2008.
Common economic, security, and geopolitical interests are
likely to maintain strong ties between USA and the Kingdom
of Saudi Arabia for the foreseeable future and will
strengthen their relationship in the decades to come.
